Acoustic louvres are typically used in building openings to reduce airborne noise whilst allowing airflow through the louvre. They are also commonly used for screening of mechanical plant where the equipment requires airflow through the screen.
Acoustic louvre constructions are available as either standard units to be installed in builderswork openings or as bespoke units to suit a wide range of different requirements.
Sound Planning's Acoustic Louvres have been tested at the UKAS accredited laboratory facilities at Salford University . A Sound Reduction Index (SRI) for each louvre type can be published on request.
Acoustic louvres can be supplied in four different depths (SRI):
- 150mm (Rw 11dB) NR 17dB

- 300mm (Rw 16dB) NR 22dB
