ACOUSTIC ENCLOSURES

The "Whisper" Generator Enclosure has been specially designed for noise critical environments such as hospitals, construction sites, music festivals and outside broadcasts.

Working in conjunction with Ground  Power Ltd (Generator and Power Supply Specialists), Sound Planning have designed and tested the "Whisper" Enclosure with extremely successful results.

Supply and exhaust systems have applied integral duct attenuators, whilst the container body is acoustically lined/treated to dramatically reduce noise break out through the container shell.

Noise levels for a JVC 50Hz, 1500rpm generator have been reduced down to 45dB(A) @ 7m.

LOUVRE SYSTEMS

Acoustic Enclosure Systems are designed to achieve the acoustic performance and functionality  required for each individual application.

Designs consider the noise reduction requirements without compromising the equipment's performance (airflow requirements).

Design Features

Acoustic panels constructed from galvanised zintec, aluminium or British steel plastisol sheet steel with a peripheral retaining frame containing the controlled density acoustic infill. Each panel shall be constructed to provide inherent structural rigidity and ensure that the panel is self supporting. The infill shall be controlled density mineral wool or glass fibre and shall be inert, non-hygroscopic, rot proof and have a Class '1' rating for spread of flame in accordance with BS476:Part 7. The Infill shall be scaled behind a resin bonded tissue facing to prevent particle denigration and in turn retained behind a perforated sheet metal facing.

Acoustic enclosures invariably include acoustic louvres to maintain adequate airflow into the equipment.

Acoustic panels, when specified, can be finished in a high quality polyester powder paint colour from the BS4800-1982 or RAL-F3-1984 colour ranges.

All acoustic panels and derivatives are delivered to site with the appropriate protective packing, dependant upon the type of finish.

Typical Applications

For use in various capacities including, acoustic enclosures, screening and acoustic partitions between rooms. With the correct treatment the panelling system is suitable for external applications as well as standard internal.
